Human Drider by WanderTones Human Drider by WanderTones
I normally don't end up drawing things for holidays, usually because I forget and miss them, but considering that Halloween is the big event for creative costumes (and transformations, for us magic lovers), I thought I'd join in.

Basing my ideas around humantaurs, I thought I'd try and create something unique and complex, so I decided... why not a Drider, the spider monstrosity that I know from D&D? The clothing is a bit bare bones, but I barely know how to put together an outfit, especially one that has to fit ten limbs.

you know... if all the limbs ended in hands, it would be a lot easier to climb....just a suggestion, :3

Probably... but since this was created via magic, and the same rules of magic allow for levitation, I think it's not unreasonable that spider climbing can be performed magically.

And walking to the party with thick sole skin is much better than walking on hands all that way.

I'd never even heard of a Drider before I saw this, but that's pretty cool!

I'll bet she has one heck of a tailoring bill though!

For a one-time costume, the cost of it was about $20. It's just a bed sheet and pillow case, restitched to fit the eight legs and large abdomen.

And Driders are pretty great, though not as good as a Marilith, the six armed naga demon. Driders are pretty much unworthy slaves to the spider queen in D&D, whereas Mariliths are powerful army commanders.

Heh, fair enough. I was thinking more in the long term. :D

That form would be killer on a tandem bike though!

In the long term, yeah, being a Drider would be expensive as anything. At least a humantaur version: a regular Drider would probably save on shoes and pants, which are my biggest cost drains for clothes.

And heh, I can imagine riding down a street, six legs easily pedaling away on a three person tandem bike, managing impressive speeds.

Just think of how magnificent hill climbing on that bike would be! You'd be racing the motor powered traffic up the hill!

I wish I had that for school: I had to ride over the top of a hill in order to reach my high school (it was on the hill itself, not at the base on the other side of the hill), back when I was actively riding my bike there.

I've imaged the idea of a human drider before, but not in this way!

That's really cool! Though I DO wonder what the spiderbutt is made out of...

If you really want to know, it's a breast. A butt wouldn't really conform to the shape of the abdomen.
